More Information

I got tired of the noise from the HSF that came in the XP 1900+ retail package and unscrewed it. The fan's motor is TopMotor DF1206BH. The same is used in Delta AFB0612EH. It's about 50dB!

Somebody told me here that retail comes with a whisper quiet fan. Well, if 50dB is whisper, than how loud is my speech supposed to be.

My AXP 1800+ came with a slim 80x25mm fan (estimated fan blade dimensions). It seems quiet to me.
