Looking for an application test suite(?)

I'm loking for a kind of automated test suite that can test the compatibility of a number of popular applications with a new-built computer system. For example, I'd like to know if Powerdvd program has a problem with a new-built system.

Since I couldn't find a proper way to do it automatically, I do the test with my hands for every application that I'd like to test. I mean, I run a application program and try to use most of functions provided by the application under testing, and run another application program. I want to put the pc under test and have a cup of coffee.

If there is no such test suite, any sugestion will be appreciated also.
