I was just wondering when is AMD going to convert to the .13 micron chips. Like intel has. By the way what is the code name for those chips? i forgot. What will be the codename for the new AMD chips? Are the XP2000+ .13 microns already. Thanks for any of the Replies

Anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong, but i thought AMD was to transition to .13 in H1 (like Q2) this year. Wouldnt expect .13 athlons before june or so. (so, current 2000+ cpu's are still .18). AS for the codenames, it would be thoroughbred for the .13 athlon (rumoured to also have a bigger cache, but thats doubtfull) and Barton for the .13 SOI version..

Atually, the conversion should be done this quarter, no later than march according to the estimates I have read.

And the code name is thoroughbred.
