i made my L1 contacts successfully on my amd XP1900. when i rebooted, my bios read XP1700. where did i go wrong? one thing, my multiplier only has the 12.5/13 option, could this be my problem?

Someone posted that the crazy glue he used was conductive. Did you test the crazy glue or what ever you used to see if its conductive with a multimeter?
I yet to hear someone that had success with this and I'm very hesitant to try it myself. Hope you get it straighten out.
Why would anybody fiddle with their CPU, as described in the "Plastic Surgery: Releasing the Athlon XP to hit 2000+" THG article. It's asking for trouble.
