I am having a serious cooling problem with my Sys.
My cpu is running at 1400 (133x10.5) - standard config
but the cpu temperature is
47C ide and 53+C full load!!!
system temp 32-35C

I have read articles from other ppl and their average temp is approx 33-38 and full load @ 40+C.
What is the problem?

I have stuck 4 fans in the case.

1x power supply fan
2x for cpu
- ThermalTake volcano 6cu
- One side one, blowing directly on the cpu heat sink (that i used to use on my old cel 300A sys)
1x Chasis fan

my Comp specs:

xp1600 (133x10.5)with epox 8HKA+
Kanya 256mb PC2100
seagate 40GB 7200rpm
macron 300W power supply

Could it be the thermal paste that i am using, becasue I am
using a really cheap non-branded thermal paste.??
Or
have i config my mobo incorrectly.
Or
Have i overclocked the CPU, because the salesman sold me the wrong CPU, because I got it off a tray.

I am one lost puppy here. : (
Happy to find my owner. . .

Firstly don't panic. 53C at full load isn't terrible at all.

Is your case fan configured as an intake or an exhaust?

Perhaps an extra exhaust fan may help, so you have 1 in and 1 out.

I tried Not to panic, but it has been 2 days.
Just trying to get the CPU temp down for a stock Frequency.
Plus i have been seeing & being close to so many fans,
I am starting to catch a cold~
Hehee
Anyway,
I have one fan blow into the cpu HSF , located at the rear top just below the PSupply. And One blowing out at the bottom front.

Another vitim of the mass bs histaria that temps are a problem.

your temps are fine, take out one or two of those case fans, if it does not lock up, it is not an issue.....put down that motherboard monitor sir, you dont need it. Step away from the expensibe heatsink...thats right, calm, breathe deeply. Now enjoy your computing experience, and dont worry what some 1337 0verc10cker gets on his system, if it isnt locking up, your setup is fine.

you might wanna reverse the direction of both your fans.
in other words...make the fan at the top blow out (exhaust) and the one on the bottom blow in (intake.)
just FYI...

you have nothing to worry about... while it maybe 2-3 degrees higher then what othe ppl get (athlon usally go up to 50 full load with stock HSF) your deep in the green zone. 70c is really when you should start worry...
anything under 65 and your normal...

my slot 800 athlon runs just fine at 47 c, there is no problem.

i went to the tomshardware forums and all i got was this lousy signature.

To me, they're normal. When it goes over 60C, that when you start to worry!

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.
