Switching AMD Processors

I currently have an AMD 750Athlon, and I was given an AMD 1.2Athlon, I already checked my MB and it will handle a 1.2, but are there any other changes I need to make before I pull and replace the 750?

Thank you in advance for your help!

  1. as long as your motherboard supports jumperless mode, and is already IN jumperless mode, then no; just pop it in.

Hard work often pays off in time, but laziness always pays off now.
  2. Is your 1.2G CPU 100 or 133MHz FSB. If it's the latter you need to change your mobo's FSB to 133 (assuming your mobo support 133MHz FSB which is KT133A and later).

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.
