hey, i didn't 'make anyone search for my homework'.the whole idea was to gain a pretty comprehensive base in the subject, over and above the needs of my homework(which incidentally is a term properly applicable only to kids in kindergarten-people in college call them assignments, in case you didn't know).rather than puruse through umpteen links thrown up by google, i thought i'd turn to people whom i assumed would have a pretty good knowledge of such matters-but turns out there are psychos everywhere.if you cant be helpful then keep your opinions to yourself or shove it up your ***.

Is it just me or do students these days drink way more coffee than we used to?

The Web is an awful place to find that sort of information. I would suggest you go the University library. There are numerous books on the 8086 CPU and it's cousins. You may also want to puruse the microfiche periodicals for abbreviated information sources. Any info on the web you find will be reader beware, not good to write a term paper on.

Actually, since i'm one of the oldies here at the forum (that's all in one's head now remember) well I still have a complete book on the architecture and details of this cpu.
I'll GIVE it to this guy if he is willing to pay for postage from canada. BTW, perhaps it's the 8088, not sure, have a feeling it's 8086. Also have a book on assembler language for same proc. Fortran 77. Borlan's "turbo pascal".
Ah! memories... "When i was young, never needed anyone and making love was just for fun ..." Hey! WTF, making love is still for fun even when you get older. Who the hell wrote that song? Peter Frampton? Who who

Do you think we should waste our efforts? do you think he's actually coming back after his last post?
