I'm tryin to help a friend, Usually I'm on macs, and he's got a win
laptop.
I don't know that much about Windows OS
The message I got tryin to HotSync (He never did it before) is about
the COM 3 in use with something else.
What have I gotta do? How do I create another COM (where in XP ?) for
PALM zire, or how do I free up the existing one (COM3) ?

Open Hotsync Manager (right-click the HS icon in the task bar), select
Setup, Local tab, change the Serial port to COM2 or COM4. Since COM3 is
in use and it shares interupts with COM1, you'll need either COM2 or
COM4. Then try the sync again.

Thanks a lot Q, but just COM3 appears on the tab
