CPU and Memory

When looking at the article, I am wondering how fast the P4 3Ghz would have been if it used Rambus memory and not DDR.

I am also wondering how well AMD's current processors would work using Rambus.

Could we maybe see a comparison where P4 2Ghz with DDR competes with P4 2Ghz Rambus, so we could get a better picture for how well the processor really perform?
- There would of course be other limitations here also, but we would hopefully get a better picture of how well our
AMD systems would work with RAMBUS...

The Athlon XP CPU would be penalized if you paired it with RD RAM. It can’t take advantage of the extra bandwidth, and it would suffer from the added latency.
