Hello

I am using a Dlink DE250CT (ISA) network cards on my network. I am running Windows XP Pro and Redhat linux 7.1 on some of my computers.

I understand that Windows XP does not support ISA cards at all, but is there a way to enable linux to recognise it? I have installed Isapnp but have not got around to making it work for me.

Everytime my linux 7.1 boots, there is this message -

Bringing up interface eth0 : Delaying eth0 initialisation [FAILED]

Kindly help.

TIA

Do you have the specs for the card anywhere? Is it PNP, or jumpered?

First place to start is making sure the driver loads ok. Eg, run modprobe or insmod <the driver>. I've no idea, but is it an NE2000 card?

If that's ok, you're probably looking at resource conflicts, which gets fiddly.
