Hello, I own an old Pentium III 866 & i'm using
a 300W ATX standard power supply (6 months old).

I going to buy an Athlon XP 1800 + Soltek 75DRV2,
& i've a question:

Can i use my 300W power supply with this mobo & cpu ?
Should i upgrade to a new case with a new power supply ?

Very Thanks

it depends on what else you put in there... but it most likely will work, most of the XP "systems" that you see have 300W.

good luck!

Can you give us the PSU specs or brand & type ? 300w doesnt mean a whole lot by itself. Generally speaking, I'd say ditch the PSU, and get a decent Enermax. But if you are on a budget, you might want to try. If you're having reboot, or stability issues, the PSU would be the first thing to suspect.
