Cursor Missing

I recently got an old Dell Inspiron 1100 latop from m-i-l for my kids. When I bootup there is no cursor. I cannot enter the admin password without the cursor to plae in the box. What could be the problem?

It could possibly be a virus, or someone tried to change the curson and did something wrong... Reinstalling Windows is probably the best solution. If not, you can try using the TAB key to move between the boxes at start-up.
