Please forgive what is obviously a noob question, but how do I create a link, to another site, like a parts list. I can cut and paste the http address, but don't know how to turn that to a "blue" link. Don't laugh, gap in my education. Many thanks.

Forgive me if I'm being thick (I obviously am), but just don't get it.
I can "cut" the http address of something I want to link to. Then, when I'm making a post, on the forum, I can click on the "link" symbol (the one that looks like a pair of lips). That opens a tab "add a link", with a box for "external link" (and one for internal). I can paste the http, that I've cut, into that box. It then says "submit query" (don't quite understand that). Clicking on that transfers that http address, to the "text" box, but as plain text, not a "blue" link.
I know I'm doing something really stupid, and as soon as I get it, once, it will be blindingly obvious. I'm frustrated by my lack of this knowledge.

Thanks for that. Was getting really frustrated with it. What I still don't understand is there's a symbol, at the top of reply box, "add a link". I assumed that, if you pasted, or typed the http:// address in there, it would post it, to the message, as a link. It doesn't though; just gives it a normal text, with [tiny.url] in boxes, at either end. I'm obviously thick, but just don't get that.
