Don't exactly know about the major. But, all these things are included in Hardware & Networking Course. However, Computer Engineering major also has pretty much everything, excluding the hands on troubleshooting.

A computer engineer is well above just building computers and troubleshooting. Expect a lot of math and theory.

IT is actually a bit low on the totem pole when it comes education. It has a very low point of entry and doesn't require much educational background.

In general, find a job that you enjoy, don't just look at the money. If you like IT type things, do it. People who enjoy what they do stand out and typically do better work.
