Umax has no drivers at all on it's website for the 5800.
You can try third-party scanning software called VueScan which installs a generic driver which works with most USB scanners: http://www.hamrick.com/

Try the free trial version and if it works with your scanner you can buy a registration key for $39 (US Dollars).
