Hi all, I am running a P4 (1.5G) on a AsusP4B mobo. My bus speed is 100 x (15) - There are no options for me to lower the multiplier.( from 15 to perhaps 12 then increase the fsb to 133) I have updated the bios but the multiplier is still cannot be changed in the bios as it is "greyed-out".
Is this because Pentium proc. is multiplier locked???? If that is the case, then is there any method to unlock the multiplier in the Pentium????
My System is ASUS P4B, P4(1.5G)478pin, SDRAM(pc-133).

yep. your stuck with 15x buddy.
intel doesnt like overclockers.


The lack of thermal protection on Athlon's is cunning way to stop morons from using AMD. :)

hmmm ok.
but at least its possible with amd.

if you have doubts, just take a peek at my factory unlocked athlon 1200C.
