Problems with internet conn.

hey i recently had a infection of virusses nad decided i should format and install win 7................

it hda bee 2 weeks since that and now every time i connect to the internet my computer doesn't respond to anythin',,, though the mouse moves and i can double click on everythin.... nothing comes up even keyboard hotkeys for the task manager!!!!!!

the moment i power off my modem evrything comes back to normal nad everything i trie to open when the pc was hanged opens up!!!!!

what the hell iss going on!!!?????

When you reinstalled 7 you DID reinstall ALL the hardware drivers from your manufacturers website, PLUS all the Windows updates (up to and including SP1 and all the other hundred plus after SP1) ??

when i reinstalled win 7 i installed all the drivers , amd catalyst controller, dell's broadcom ethernet controller, but i didn't do the windows updates......

i only have a 1gb plan from my isp so i cannot download everythin at once............

atleast not in this month (in my own pc)..................
