I have just reinstalled WIN 7 Home Prem 32bit on a
'Acer Aspire 5741G'
4GB Ram
512mb Dedicated HD Raedon 5### Series
And Windows is saying 4GB (2.5GB) usable.
BEFORE the reinstall and from purchase date it was saying 4GB (3.5GB) usable.
I believe the extra 1GB is gone to the Graphics.
The GPU begin dedicating and NOT integrated cannot be change via the BIOS.
I have tried resetting the RAM, Windows RAM diagnostics tool (RAM is healthy) and various RAM tools to try and free up the reserved ram. even taking it complete out and putting it back in.
Can you help? There should be 3.5GB usable.
Please don't give me the 3rd degree about 32bit systems and 4gb max, I am aware of this as there is only 4GB installed. the issue lays with 1.5 being reserved with only 2.5gb being useable when before the install and when purchased there was 3.5GB usable.
