As u know that Intel's x86 gives hardware protection by two bit and total 4 option with 00 specifying the kernel mode and so on. i want to know that how protection is implemented in Sun's Sparc, IBM's Power and Intel Itanium and in Hp's Alpha processors and Mac also..
i just want the overview.. u can direct to some article or some other manuals.
