Could I upgrade this turtle to Windows 8?

I have a computer with the following specs.

Currently runs Windows 7. Not sure if it came with Vista when I bought it ( I had like 4 computers at the time) and a friend of mine reformatted some of them.

Could I upgrade this to Windows 8? If so could I do it without wiping the HARDDRIVE?

Anything that runs Win 7 runs Win 8.

If you're running Win 7, you can upgrade to Win 8 without having to wipe the HDD.

Ok i have a regular monitor? Can I use touch screen If I put my finger out and touched the screen, would I be able to touch and move the Icons?

Anything that can run Vista can run 7, anything that can run 7 can run 8.

And I suggest Micro fibre cloth, they leave less residue and you can reapply the thermal paste easily.
