With a decent heatsink it should run at the overclocked speed without adjusting the multiplier. However you can unlock it and lower the multiplier and the chip will run at its rated speed with the new fsb easily.

etc. You should be able to find a nice step by step for the pencil trick there.

there is a chance however that it wont work at 133fsb. nothing is guaranteed

Well if his board has the pci dividers for 133fsb (1/4) which i believe most of them do, and he lowers his multiplier i'd think it would work out just fine

didnt have one of em electronic pens so ill just type my name,CoOoLMaNX

only if you have a kt133a board or better.

older kt133 chipsets will not run the cpu at 133fsb...

even so there are examples of where it just doesnt work.

this is cauz apparently even if u lower the multiplier (say from 12 to 9) it still goes to 12 briefly as defined by the chip, then the bios takes over...
so 12x133 gives u 1600 Mhz... some chips can take that for a millisecond or so it takes the bios to take over... others cannot.

And if you removed the processor you can also check if all the L1 (tiny brdiges on the surface of the CPU) are connected, if they are your chip is unlocked.

My case has so many fans that it hovers above the ground  .

An unlocked chip has no default multiplier IIRC.

hmmmm ok.

well ive had private communication with one guy off toms forums who could not get his 1200B running at 133. at all. if i remember correctly he was doing it on some kt133a board... and it just refused to boot.

and yes... he had unlocked multipliers
