XP crashes Tags: Splash Screen Windows XP Last response: February 11, 2003 12:10 AM in Windows XP Share inquiring February 9, 2003 11:47:43 PM Hello...I use WIN XP on my AMD 1.8 with NVIDIA GPU. On start up this AM after the splash screen I recd the following message on my monitor: "WINDOWS CANNOT LOAD YOUR PROFILE BECAUSE IT MAY BE CORRUPTED CONTACT YOUR ADMINISTRATOR WINDOWS CANNOT FIND THE LOCAL PROFILE AND IS LOGGING YOU ON WITH A TEMPORARY PROFILE" I have NO virii nor does Norton System Works detect any problems and has not had any problems like this to date. Then my box booted into SAFE mode and I then hard rebooted and recd the SAME error message. I downloaded nothing and use my box for email and Web access ONLY. Can anyone tell me what happened and how I can fix this problem? Thank you.
