i5-480M (2.66GHz) w/ Turbo Boost

i5-2410M (2.30GHz)

How can we compare these two?

I am almost zeroed on to these two laptops. Can someone suggest which one is good. I am going to use it for software development. No gaming.

Also suggest some good upgrade options. My budget is around $700.

The Dell XPS 17 is better. The graphics card is a bit better (although older) and the CPU is also better (also older). So, it depends on whether or not you feel bad about not getting the newest hardware... I know some people might be a bit paranoid, but the XPS 17 is better. That is why the price tag is higher :)
