Obviously, a P3 1000 mHz is more than 5 times faster than a pentium 200 mHz. Is there another standard measure of CPU performance which accounts for the difference? For example, if it were called 'x', you could say a CPU's performance was CPU speed times 'x'. I know this would differ based on the type of benchmark (integer math, floating pt math, 3D, etc). Would instructions per clock cycle be something like this?

Maybe you like this benchmark: <A HREF="http://bobmark.cafwap.net/" target="_new">http://bobmark.cafwap.net/</A>.

My case has so many fans that it hovers above the ground  .
