So I just bought a ProBook 4431s, did Win7 Enterprise clean install.
Installed SP1, all Windows Updates, latest HP drivers, apps etc, setup for office purpose.

And now, it keeps freezing on me.
When it freezes, it just locks up there. CPU and fan didn't go high, both normal spin.

If you see my post here last year, you will know I had this exact same issue with ProBook 4421s, which later I returned to HP and they found out the factory HDD was faulty. I can't believe I'm having the exact same issue with another ProBook notebook this year.

This time, the lock up rate is very rare, not as often as the 4421s I had last year. I doubt HP would be able to meet the lock up if I return this to them.

Anyone has any idea what I can try before I return this thing to HP again?

Hey, thanks for the quick reply.

I just got the thing 4 days ago, setup and done everything. The lock up issue just came to me yesterday, and today also.
As this is for office purpose, it'd be better if I can solve it (suspect software/driver incompatibility) since there's no spare unit for us, but I will do return it if the issue comes just once again.
