Hello,

I got this problem with Firefox and IMDB, if I try to browse that site I always end up with blank pages sooner then later.. and I have to F5 for 10-15 times for the page to finally open.
It lets me go to the home page but when I click movies or in-theaters its F5 time.

I have Win 7 x64, latest Firefox, stable internet no other problems in other sites, I do have addblock plus 2.2.3 but I even turn it off and same result.
Other add-ons that I have in that list:
Adobe Acrobat
Google Update
Java Deplpoyment Toolkit
Microsoft Offic
Shockwave Flash
Shockwave For Director
Yahoo Apllication State Plugin
TVU Web Player for Firefox

Also tried the clear catch, browsing history, cookies, active log etc etc that kind of stuff and no result.

What is the problem ? Help

This may not be much help but I have the same problem. Posted a thread about it earlier.

Have you been already using Firefox with adblocker for a while? My issues started quickly after installing Firefox and then an ad blocker. Just wondering if the ad blockers worked for you before. Also, are you on the SBTB boards? Lol.

I got adblock 1-2 weeks after I got the problem with imdb.
What are the SBTB boards ?

It works a bit better but I still get the problem and the F5 spam time begins.

Ok guys I have found the problem out.
I tried with re-installed firefox and same result, then I tried with chrome and explorer same stuff.
The browser wasn't the problem (same for any add-on), the internet wasn't the problem.. it was general so it was the ANTI VIRUS the NOD 32 5.095.0

For any others out there the fix that worked for me is this:
- open nod32
- setup
- enter advance setup
- protocol filtering
- exclude ip addresses
- add ipv4 addresses
- in my case for IMDB.com it was: 207.171.162.180
- restart pc

Yea if this antivirus would have told me from start that his f-ing around with the imdb site this would have saved me a lot of time.
O well at least it's all good now.

Ok dam it it's not 100 fixed.. sometimes it works good and other times it's blank page again.. don't know why but it worked good for hours then again it happened and it seems different sites that look for the IP are telling me different IP's for IMDB.

207.171.166.22
207.171.162.180
216.250.124.246
72.21.210.29
72.21.206.80

The only clear way is to disable the "enable application protocol content filtering" but that will leave me unprotected.
So any other ideas guys ?

ok so uf you have windows then go to start button type "run" then when it opens type "cmd" and hit enter. when that opens you type "ping imdb.com" and it will show you imdb's ip. i have tried this method (i had this problem too) and it worked. i just excluded imdb's ip from protocol filtering. works good now :)
