Compaq Armada m700 screen killed by driver(long)

I have this maybe 10 year old computer and I tried to intall a wireless adapter, but it broke down. I am not even able to remove,add or even start searching anything. Do you have any idea what happened?

What happens when you insert the original card?
Being 10 years old, it may not support the wireless card. And, also the drivers aren't compatible with your version of Windows.

May I know the model of the wireless card, also the model of the laptop, and Operating System.
