Hey,

I was just wondering what other's CPU temps are...

Here's mine:
Athlon 1200c - AXIA stepping @ 1350 Mhz and 1.80 volts
Cooled by GlobalWIN Cak38 (screaming Banshee) with an air inlet tube right from the side of the case to the fan (It helps alot, I saw a 5 degree celcius drop!)

At Idle its about 22 or 23 (same as case temp eventually)
At full throttle its around 45 or 46... (seem hot? It does to me...)

Peace out!

Well right now its at 24C doin browsing, been on for about 4 hours, CPU at 25%.

Got it doing stuff and at 90% it was at 30C.

After hours of 100% stuff, I've seen it at 37C.

Usually on start-up its 21C.

PIII 1 GHz.

I have an Athlon XP 2000 on an Asus A7V266-E. It runs hot, and I noticed that the Chip Voltage is set to 1.85. Is that too hot? It was the default setting.

I have axp 1700+ and gigabye 7vtxe mobo 59c cpu temp and 46 degree system temp after playing delta force 2 online for an hour. 1 stock cpu fan no system fan. Is this an acceptable temp or do I need a system fan as well.

axp1700+@150fsb, and idle is 94F max load is 104F

Athlon T-bird 945 (o/c from 800) reading 1.856 v at ~34C idle and 38C full load (SETI 24/7) at 15C room temp. EVERYONE POST ROOM TEMPS THEY MAKE A LOT OF DIFFERENCE!!! The coldest I've ever been idle is 29C. Btw, I have a GlobalWin FOP32-1 that's nice and tame compared to all your delta black labels.

Celeron 667MHz (1.65v). The temp goes from idle 38C to 46C, my room temp is about 21C.

I've got a Titan Majesty hsf and no case fans. Should the temps be lower?
February 27, 2002 8:41:59 AM

Asus A7V133 w/ TB1000@1400. Idle 42C, full load 51C, and room's temp ~21C.
Abit KG7-RAID w/ TB1000@1333. Idle 42C, full load 53C, and room's temp ~20C.

Do you have a pic of that case mod you did to put in the air inlet tube? I have read about such mods but have yet to see a picture of one.

Thx

Default voltage for Athlons is 1.75v.

Its just a hole I cut in the side of the case right out from the HSF, then all I had at the time was a tube of paper. I just rolled it up and stuck it in. The exhaust fan is pulling air right from the same area of the case, so I knew that wasn't good for flow. The CPU HSF now pulls fresh air from the room. Its kinda like hot rodding, air from the engine bay is always hotter, so just get fresh air. I do think I will put a tube of some sort on it because it looks pretty ghetto right now. But I think I want to be able to pull it out when I take the side panel off. Otherwise there may be some issues of the tube hitting internal componets when I want to slide it off. If the side of your case just pops out then that won't be a problem. Hope this helps

How large a diameter was your hole?

Also... how do you guys cut the hole in your case? I'm guessing you drill a hole then use a jigsaw?
February 27, 2002 5:57:41 PM

Anything that can cut through metal. Jigsaw works, a very popular choice is a Dremmel for a little more precision. Anything you find you can work with that cuts thin metal is fine.

I used a 'nibbler' to cut a hole in. I needed to drill a hole first and then this tools just cuts a little at a time. It leaves a decent finish.

Actually, it doesn't really seem that they do. I could be wrong, though.

my 800 athlon runs at 46 idle, 52 now (encoding mp3s). thats the origional athlon, no tbird, no duron, the old slot 1's.

i went to the tomshardware forums and all i got was this lousy signature.

w00t!! An old-skooler, I loved the classic Athlons. They just romped everything that was thrown at 'em back in the day. I remember playin Half Life on a brand new Athlon 650 with 256 MB of RAM with a Voodoo3 3000 and thinking "It just cant get any better than this." Oh those were the days...
