Can you install a 1.3 athlon TB on a Asus A7V even though 1.2 is max rating? Do you just set the mutiplier to 12.0. The board goes as high as 12.5. Did This! Does not seem to run as good as my 900 athlon

Is this a question... or a statement? I'm pretty sure 1200 is the limit (although you can go a little higher on the FSB to put it over 1200). But I'm sure a 1300 would overclock better than a 1200 in most cases. I've been wondering the same thing as I have an A7V as well.

I don't know about that motherboard specifically... but i do know that Asus doesn't update it's documentation or website to show what 'new' processors their motherboards can support.

For example, the Asus A7M266 I have only mentions support for up to 1.4 Ghz I think... But, it can run all the XP processors if you are on BIOS 1005.

I suggest you go to amdmb.com and go to the Asus forums there and ask if anyone can definitely answer your question... but my guess is that motherboard will do it no problem

no clue, try 9.5x133 and see

no, the A7V cant handle a 133mhz FSB, it is only stable up to about 112mhz at most. But what I think can be done is to go ahead and buy a 1333mhz Athlon then use the extra room to pump the multiplier up to 12 and then overclock the FSB as much as possible.
