Anyone know if AMD makes its own sinks/fans for its retail boxed processors? IF not, Who makes them? The one I got with my 1.4 Ghz (266mhz) isn't of the greatest quality. Just curious to see if anyone knows the manufacturer, spex etc.

It performs fine if you do not overclock.

1 case fan if the case is cramped and it will do just great.

Obviously, AMD wouldn't have the balls to give a 3-year warranty with their boxed sets if the HSF weren't able to handle the heat. And quite as obviously, they are going to save as much dough as possible by sending the HSF setup that will work at the recommended temps.
But it also seems funny that I can't seem to find a clue anywhere about who manufactures their HSF. Maybe they do it in-house? I doubt it. But their site doesn't have any info, and countless e-mails remain unanswered. Point being, I am definitely satisfied with the ease of buying a CPU that comes with a recommended fan and warranty, but my curious nature begs me to ask.
Thanks for the replies.
