This is Toms, not the enquirer. Let us know when there is proof of some kind not just a baseless accusation. While this may or may not be true there is no proof so since this is america (I know you guys are from all over the world, no offense, but this server and AMD as a company are from America) you are innocent until proven guilty!

So Saifun Semiconductors Ltd. says that someone stole it lolly-pop. Rambus Inc. said Infineon Technologies AG stole theirs. A few months later and a few million dollars later a federal judge said that they couldn't file patent-infringement lawsuits against them because they had no case. Someone was whining and made up a story. Well, Al Gore did invent the Internet. Maybe Rambus wasn't making up any stories after all and maybe Saifun isn't either.

That whole article was ambiguous. They could have said, “Dogs barking, can’t fly without umbrellas.” That at least would have made more sense. (Anyone know the movie that quote is from?) It is a he said, she said argument. Finger pointing and no real facts. I agree with keif here that “This is Toms, not the Enquirer. Let us know when there is proof of some kind not just a baseless accusation.”

Intel sells many products. You do not have to purchase any of them. To say they steal money is to commit libel. Intel has never stolen anything.

I am not going to comment on the article about AMD because nothing has been proven in a court of law. But I will comment on your post. What you did was wrong.

Most of the major US tech companies (Intel, M$, Motorola to name a few) have large design and development teams in Israel as well. And for good reason

1) The top notch schools/education system that, even embattled as they are, they manage to give their children outstanding educations

2) This may get me flamed by some...but they have a tendency to stick to plans. When a decision is made to follow a path, they generally will proceed...without the US issue of corporate ADD.

Course..they have to be focused because lack of focus might..well..let's not even pursue that thought...

The biggest problem here with US supporting 100% with Israel is that it is one of the sources of us arabs being angry at US. Not me though, but I share the pain most arabs in the regions surrounding Israel. Like I pointed out once, I am Lebanese, in 1996 when I was there living, I experience seeing Israeli war planes bombarding our electricity. We're still and much of the arab countries angry at the US for not properly funding and supporting us too, which has caused so much terrorism.... Oh well...
I don't really hate anybody, but they do...
Lucky though, Lebanon is now neutral on Israel, making us in the middle of a conflict between Israel and Palestine...

The reason the US supports Israel is that there are outnumbered 10 to 1. Also, they are a democracy. As in every country there are Good and Bad people. The Good people in the arab countries need to get rid of the Bad ones and focus their energy on rebuilding their schools, roads, and buildings instead of trying to blow up someone elses buildings. If they would get rid of the Sadams and Arafats and have elections for their leaders the US would be more inclined to help. Rich countries like Saudi Arabia & Kuwait should be the ones supplying the cash too but more and more I think they would rather spend their money on guys like Bin Laden. The US isn't perfect but we are more fair than anyone else in the world.
