Camera mystery on Treo 650

My Sprint PCS Treo 650 clearly has a camera on the phone --
I can see the lens, as well as the self-reflective mirror
on the back. The physical packaging also advertises a
built-in camera.

But there is no Camera icon in Applications, so I can't
figure out how to use it.

I know that some Treo 650's come without a camera, but they
are supposed to say that on the box, and have a smooth back per
http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,kb=Pa...(35038),ts=Palm_External2001

So what do I have? Is there any way of activing the Camera
software, or downloading it, given that the physical camera
is present?

Have you in stalled any programs? Some programs hide applications from
the launcher (intentionally). Go to the applications screen, then go to
the Info menu. If there is an item in there called "camera", you'e
probably got the software but it's hidden. Have you tried a reset? Does
Sprint disable the camera?

I have a Treo 600, and if it works the same as the 650 there
should not be a Camera icon in Applications. You access the
camera through the phone application. (Didn't you get a manual
with the phone? It should explain how to use everything.)

Make sure the launcher (the small button with a "house" on it) is showing
"All" at the top. Press the button repeatedly to cycle through the various
categories of applications (or click on the category at the top).

On the GSM Treo 650(I have the unlocked version) it is in the Favourites
Buttons.

Hope this helps.
