I have 2 wd40 gig hard drives that i want to run Raid 0 or stripe them. i read that it could not be done in windows xp professional unless i had hardware raid. i wanted to run software raid. so if i can't run raid 0 software on win xp pro, would there be any benifits to running both drives dynamic? or is that not possible? (read that you can't boot from software raid, meaning i would have to make a partition just for the OS.)

if someone could clear this up for me that would be great.

I run my disks as dynamic. It gives you some extra security, of the way the volumeinfo is stored. The bad is, most recoveryprograms and stuff like that, dont support dynamic disks yet...
