Dell are offering the following wireless LAN Solutions (WiFi) for the
Inspiron 8600c:

1. Intel® ProWireless 2200 802.11b/g
2. Dell Wireless 1350 802.11b/g 54Mbps Mini-PCI Wireless Card [add £11.75]
3. 2100 Intel Pro Wireless Card
4. Dell Wireless 1450 Dual Band 802.11 a/b/g Mini-PCI card [add £23.50 or
£1/month]

Which is the best to go for? I'd like to use the notebook with my Netgear
DG834G (802.11g) wireless router/modem.

My M60 came with it fitted and have subsequently fitted another one in a
Novatech notebook. Both are approx 25 feet from router and have given no
problems with signal.

I'm running the Intel® ProWireless 2200 802.11b/g on my Latitude D600 and I
can sit comfortably in the garden which is about 60/70 ft from my Belkin
router witha very good signal. at the end of the day its down to personnal
choice read what you can on the net or google and then decide

Richard, 1 - because...

1 and 2 are essentially the same, but why pay more for 2? 3 is 802.11b only
so forget it. 4 is OK and is .11a but you dont need that.

Thus, 1 fits solution both technically and financially. Hope this helps.
