When I start up blacklight retribution it says 32 bit. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit so why is it switching to 32 bit? I am using my cpu's integrated graphics so I think that's why. I just want to be sure. I have an i5-3570. I'm getting a graphics card soon. This is my first computer build so I apologize if this question is a bit vague.
The game itself may have been written as a 32-bit application. Even so, it has no impact on your use of a 64-bit operating system.
What I think you are seeing is the game telling you that it needs to operate with 32-bit graphics (number of colors supported and set in your video settings). This is a function of your video device and drivers. Are you using the integrated video of the i5 now?
