Is it possible to setup a ftp server with @home if your router tells you your IP and subnet? I'm using cesar ftp. One reason i don't think so is my subnet is 255.255.254.0 That means I'm subneted right? In that case even if everything worked right i still couldn't do it because my IP only exsists in the routers routing table, right?

ftp - file transfer protocal, used for serving files
dhcp - dynamic host configuration protocal, used to assign computers an ip address, also works in conjunction with the dns (domain name server).

i went to the tomshardware forums and all i got was this lousy signature.

Just forward port 21 to your computer from your router and it should work fine, btw @home doesn' exist anymore =p.
