How do I take a picture with my windows 7 lapyop?

I just got my (used) laptop from my brother and it was completely swiped before it was given to me. After I have gotten things set up the way I want them, I don't know how to take a picture with my built in webcam. It starts up in skype and such, but I don't know how to take a picture.
