i just had to tell some one my happy news! i just finished building my new computer, soyo dragon+ mother board, xp 1700, 128 meg crucial pc 2100, swiftech hsf. i have to wait till i have more time to reinstall xp, so i have nothing to report yet. and i only got 128 megs of ram cause i had to cut back on somethings till next month. i was worried about temps when i was shopping for a hsf, i almost went for the swiftech MCX462, but i got the MCX370-0A. my temps are 32c at idle, readings from the bios. thats with artic silver 2. now time to overclock :))))))))

i went to the tomshardware forums and all i got was this lousy signature.

if your mother board has sensors, you can get software from them to read temps of the cpu, and the board.

yes yes, i know, but i only had 400 bucks, another stick put me over the limit. next month i should have enough for another 256 of ddr. or i will just have to wait till i get my tax return. but until then im going to put my swap file on a scsi drive that i never use. yes, the swiftechs are real purty : ) i was a little anoyed with the clip assembly, i was afraid i smeared all the artic silver around. the clips stick out and the capacitors were in the way so i couldnt pinch them while i losend the screws. easyer than the old clips, those things are a pain in the neck, and the fingers.

Oh sweet temps, if only you had waited for the Tbred 1800+, man you'd be OCing like hell with even lower temps too!!
