axp Instalation for idiots

I understand that most of the times when an AMD cpu fries, its due to the installer's carelessnes or just inexperience.
Well, to try and avoid that from happening to me, I ask you guys, if you know of any guide (links) to show a step by step amd CORRECT instalation procedure, or you can just reply elaboratly to this thread. Thanks.
One more, actually, is the thermal compund that comes with the retail box sufficient?

All the installation instructions you need are on <A HREF="http://www.amd.com" target="_new">AMD's web page</A>.
The retail thermal paste will be sufficient, but when Arctic Silver II is only a few dollars, there's no reason to not use it.

I would use the pad if you have a boxed cpu with 3 year warranty. Arctic silver is better, but AMD may void the warranty if you use it.

I don't see any step-by-step instructions on the AMD site, only tech. information, which is not of any help at this point. If you have somthing more specific, please post, or if I missed the page on the amd site, please make a more specific link.
