Is it safe to use silicon base thermal solution on a Pentium III Coppermine CPU?
Also, I would appreciate any opinions on the Thermal Take FC0370 Golden Orb Heatsink/Fan. Thanks in advance.

i hope you wont hate me for this, but the golden orb sucks. other than looks its got nothing good. and yes you may use Silicon Base Thermal past. it is safe, just alpy a thin layer that would be sufficient.

Is it sufficient for a PIII 933 Mhz, not overclocked?
Thanks again.

sure, but your temp will be higher than other PIII 933Mhz. did you buy one? if not you can get a much better fan for about $17.

yes, I have one, but in light of this information, I think I'll get a new fan. Which fans do you recomend?
