850 Thunderbird vs. 1ghz Duron?

I'm building a second computer, mostly to have a Linux box (but it will dual boot Win 98). I'm using a ECS K7S5A motherboard. I have an 850 mhz Thunderbird and a new 1 ghz Duron. Which CPU should I keep (I'm going to sell the other) and why?
(I've done very little overclocking, so doing a small bump might be desirable if it wouldn't run too hot all the time; right now I don't know if the CPUs are locked.)

Thanks

this is close, but keep the duron unless you ARE going to overclock.

As scamtron said, stay with Duron unless you want some overclocking. BTW, K7S5A is not a friendly overclocking motherboard so anyway should be better if you keep the Duron
