Solved Restore OS to default settings/programs for public PC Tags: Configuration Default Internet Explorer Windows 7 Last response: February 23, 2013 5:12 PM in Windows 7 Share rajsharma714 February 23, 2013 4:57:57 PM Hello, I have a Windows 7 OEM, and I am installing it on a public PC that random people will use. I have 2 questions. 1) Is it possible to prevent the public to install any new software on it? 2) Is it possible to set up the PC that if anyone changes the settings on the PC, ie: change the language on IE, that I can just restart the PC and it will revert to the original setup? Thanks, Raj Sharma More about : restore default settings programs public Best solution ex_bubblehead a b $ Windows 7 February 23, 2013 5:04:03 PM 1) That's what the "Guest" account is for. 2) Install something like "Deep Freeze". I have no idea why I thought this, but I thought you could install software on the Guest account. I'll look into Deep Freeze and give it a shot. Thanks for the reply. m 0 l Can't find your answer ?
