If there is a way to get roms onto my Palm Zire 72 from my Mac please
let me know. But it appears I am out of luck because I am again a Mac
user. Sometimes I wonder if macs are worth it. I tried to manually
install the .nes files but it would not work. I need to use this rom
installer. With a Windows CE device I could bypass this rom installer
though and its what I do with my Jornada 720, however the advantage to
the Zire is the size.
How to install:
---------------
Unzip all the files into the same directory. The following are the files
included
in the zip file. Please make sure that none of them is missing.
* RomInstaller.exe
* nes2pdb.exe
* Instaide.dll
How to use it:
--------------
To Install a NES rom (*.nes file)
1- Run the RomInstaller by double clicking the file "RomInstaller.exe"
2- Choose the PALM user from the drop down list located at the top left
of the
RomInstaller main window.
3- To add a rom click the button "Add Rom"; a file open dialog will pop
up.
Choose the file and click ok. You can repeate this step if you want
to install
multiple files.
4- to delete a file from the list, select the file (by clicking on it)
then press
"delete".
5- To install the game(s) selected by step 3, click "Install".
6- The next time you hotsync your PALM powered device the game(s) will
be installed
automatically.

I have no clue what a rom installer or a "ROMS" is, but I use my Palm
Pilot every day to sync with my two desktop Macs and sometimes my
Powerbook, no problem. Download the Mac OS X version of the Palm Desktop
software from Palm's web site and install it.
