No drive e in windows 7 install

i have no window drive E to load pictures from scandisk. It use to be their. Now when i try to load it says to format disk and then disk cannot be formatted

Umm need more info than that... Do you have a second drive? Maybe it was a flash drive that you plugged in and now you removed it so it doesnt show up anymore.

no flash drive only have a dvd dive (d)
