How to connect wireless lan in windows 7 lenovo g580

I have lenovo G580 model-20157.
I am not able to connect wifi and lan with other loptops...plzz help me out

To connect to wifi, make sure ur wireless card is turned on, then scan for networks. if you can't scan for networks, or u don't see a network that is actually there, you probably don't have the wifi card on.
After selecting which network you want from the menu on the list of found networks, click connect and enter the wifi password (if required).

i turned on wifi but its nt detecting the available network..
