Ok the old PII has finally got on my nerves enough that it is time to build a new one. Here is what I have decided: A P4 2.0 Northwood with 512K RDRAM, and a G-Force 4 video card.

What I need is recomendation on the best Mother Board (over clocking not important) and a reasonable case and power supply?

Also if anyone has any input on a DVD Writer to author DVD for stand alone players?

The 2.0 is still a premium, I'd drop down to a 1.8A if money is important to you. You'll still have enough power and room for OCing if you ever decided to, and you could drop a much higher CPU in there at year's end for a nice upgrade.

As for power supply, I'd say Antec or Enermax. Lian-Li is generally though of as having the nicest aluminum cases, while Antec has a good full-tower steel case.
