  3. It's not your fault - it's a forum glitch they haven't been able to fix.

Find the check box that says Delete Entire Thread and that should tidy things up.

  5. Beaten by 14 seconds haha.
  6. Thanks for your replies, I had looked at a couple of these, but didnt think the GT540M would be able to cope with BF3?
  7. Acer Aspire 5750G £698
Core i7-2630QM 2.0Ghz quad core Sandy Bridge CPU, 6GB RAM, 640GB HDD, DVD Rewriter, 15.6" 1366z768 LCD w/ GT 540M Graphics
  8. Not on high settings. As best we can guess now it will 'play' a lot like StarCraft II.
But the GT 540M is what is in your current budget range.
  9. Thats really helpful thanks, also do you know if these laptops have the capability to upgradethe gfx card etc..?
  10. They do not have that capability. Not like the easy upgrade ability of desktop PCs.
That same £800 budget would get you a great desktop deal for BF3 on high settings and probably, at least a 20" 1600x900 resolution LCD too, instead of a 15" laptop 1366x768 LCD.
  11. While the GT 540M is considered a mid-range laptop graphics card when you compare it to desktop cards it's about as powerful as a desktop GT 430. Which has to be considered a low end, entry level card, costing about £50.
  12. That Mobility HD 5850 is a step up in GPU power but it looks like its has less powerful CPU to support it. The price is quite a bit higher too.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850 review
There does not appear to be a big jump in gaming performance though.
  13. Have you seen anything over there with the Radeon HD 6770M or GT 555M yet?
  14. HP Pavilion dv6 Quad Edition 15" Notebook $975
Core i7 2630QM(2.00GHz) CPUJ and AMD Radeon HD 6770M

    lenovo IdeaPad Y570 15" Notebook $950
Core i7 2630QM(2.00GHz) CPUJ and NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M

    AMD Radeon HD 6770M review
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M review
  15. Sorry guys been on lunch...

I dont mind paying a little extra for more gfx power if need be, im just completely new when it comes to laptops....
