L1 crossed bridge

Quick question...when unlocking an xp...if the conductive silver used to connect one bridge crosses over to a neighboring bridge will the processor simply stay locked or will it short out the proccesor and or the mobo?

you can test to see if the bridges are crossed with a multimeter right? If so...what would the resistance between neighboring bridges if they are and arent crossed? Sorry...just dont wanna kill my new CPU?
