Upgrade Compaq

I have a Compaq 5423EA (i don´t think that model is sold in US).
Athlon XP1500+
Motherboard: Compaq 073Ch
Via KT133 (Front side bus speed 2x133 Mhz)
256 Mb SDRAM

My question is: Can i use all of the current AMD XP processors (up to XP2100+) if i want to upgrade? If i change the processor, do i have to change anything in BIOS? Unfortunately i don´t get any help from Compaqs support here in Sweden, they just say that this model haven´t been tested with any other processor!!

If you don't find any bios upgrades on their website, I would e-mail compaq to get the manufacturer of your board. Motherboards.org might also be able to help you.

The KT133 cannot use the XP, but the KT133a might be able to.
