Hey guys! So i broke down and ordered a Planar PX2611W from Dell...Wish me luck guys! I'll report back with findings soon enough. If you know of any good programs to use to test for dead pixels and such, please let me know!

Good luck with it. Did you order it from the US or do you live in a different country? Dell isn't selling the Planar PX2611w for the lowest price in the US.

I recently ordered the NEC LCD2690UWXi. It uses the same H-IPS panel as the PX2611w, but with some extra electronics to improve color accuracy and consistency.

To test for dead pixels you can try the following programs:

Dead Pixel Tester 2.30c

Dead Pixel Buddy 1.1

Still waiting for FedEX to find and deliver my NEC.

Unfortunately, the FedEx workers still have their heads up their asses. I may need to call the vendor and cancel my order due to shipping problems.

didnt check yet thoroughly, but during a gamma test, it seemed alright. I'll try a picture soon!

Well, I finally got my NEC LCD2690WUXi. No dead or stuck pixels.

I'll created another thread to review this monitor (when I have time), and hopefully I can borrow a camera to take snapshots and post them as well.
